The Bray Leino elves have been busy
Two years since our last seniors lunch, at a time when elderly people have been more isolated than ever, the Bray Leino team held a very special Christmas get-together for older members of the community.
Five years ago we started doing Christmas differently. Rather than sending out token material items we spend our festive gift budget on a big lunch for the older members of our local community.
In 2020 the pandemic stopped us hosting our usual event. We found a way to reach out, hand-delivering personalised gifts, but it has been two years since we were able to bring our guests together. For elderly people, these two years have been particularly isolating, uncertain and, at times, frightening. So this Christmas it was more important than ever that we made them feel special and connected. Luckily, the Bray Leino elves are a talented bunch.
The result was plenty of festive joy and it is our pleasure to share some of that with you. We hope that, wherever you are, this Christmas you are able to be with loved ones and cherish human connection.
