Bray Leino and Innovation Bubble win pitch for research project

We are delighted to announce that we are working in partnership with fellow MISSION Agency, Innovation Bubble, on an exciting new project for the Met Office, the UK's weather service.

As the national weather service for the UK, the Met Office plays a key role in many people’s lives, often influencing decisions on everything from how we dress to where we go and what we do. With bouts of extreme weather becoming more common due to climate change, Met Office forecasts are increasingly important in saving lives and protecting livelihoods. This new appointment will see Bray Leino and Innovation Bubble, a behavioural insight consultancy, collaborate on a research project with real cultural impact.

This is the first time we have partnered in this way with Innovation Bubble, a fellow member of MISSION Marketing Group. The partnership offers a blend of strategy, design and communication expertise underpinned by insights from Innovation Bubble’s team of behavioural scientists. As with all MISSION Agency collaborations, the partnership benefits from respective expertise and shared values to create work that counts.

Edd Southerden, Head of Planning at Bray Leino, says: “The conventions of the weather forecast have been around for nearly a century - so it’s an amazing privilege to help the Met Office communicate the forecast in a manner more suited to our digital lives now.”

Lisa Martin, Senior Marketing Manager at the Met Office, says: “We were impressed by Bray Leino and Innovation Bubble’s combined offering – the design expertise within an integrated Agency framework combined with behavioural science is key to this project, to ensure the UK public understand the weather forecast and use it to make appropriate decisions.”

Work is currently underway and we look forward to sharing more details in the coming months.
