Making information more approachable

With a large global network of distributors, for which English is a second language for many, Castrol Marine's product information presented many challenges, including the fact that it was difficult for the business to understand if the materials were even being used. Our learning experts were called in to develop lesson content for a new programme, the Industrial Energizer Programme, and to deliver this content in a much more modern and targeted way – through eLearning modules.

Engaging International Learning Styles

By creating an eLearning programme, we would be able to ensure that Castrol could track and understand how the product information was used. The Learning Management System we created allowed Castrol to deploy and administer their eLearning content, as well as gain valuable user insights into programme usage and completion.

The first step was to gather the relevant information and begin assembling the instructional design. We knew that we were addressing an international audience, and so, our content would need to be clear, engaging and highly interactive.

The result?

The programme modules were extremely successful and have led to the development of the original in Latin American Spanish, as well as a further four modules of content and an interactive selling process training game.
