What will I be doing?


Umbraco is a key technology for us, powering all of the content managed websites and apps we’ve built in the last 5 years. We need a passionate and experienced Umbraco developer to lead our content management efforts going forward.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Designing and building Umbraco based content management systems to power client websites and applications
  • Designing back-office interfaces
  • Designing data structures to support clean and intuitive front-end markup
  • Designing API integrations with native mobile applications
  • Building integrations with third party systems (such as CRM and line of business)
  • Reviewing, maintaining and upgrading existing Umbraco instances
  • Researching and developing our Umbraco stance (incl. headless, future versions, Umbraco cloud)
  • Designing, building and maintaining non-Umbraco solutions in the wider .net framework where appropriate


About the person...

We need a highly motivated and passionate team player who enjoys spending time developing the team’s understanding of this important technology. You need to be able to design intuitive and elegant solutions and to write clean code. We are a design driven business and your Umbraco work must support modern front-end techniques. You need to be a good communicator, being able to support other developers, testers, project managers, client services colleagues, external suppliers and clients.


Our ideal candidate will have experience across the following:

  • Umbraco 6, 7 and 8
  • Modern web development techniques incl. HTML5, CSS3 (incl. Sass), ECMA Script
  • The C# language and the wider .net framework
    • Razor
    • MVC
    • dotnetcore
    • Entity Framework
    • Microsoft SQL Server and TSQL
    • Data storage and compliance best practices (incl. GDPR)
    • Visual Studio
    • Azure DevOps (incl. CI)
    • Git
    • Modern software development best practices (SOLID, DI, MVVM etc.)
