About the role and person…

We have a great opportunity for a dynamic New Business Manager to join our team. Ideally you will have a background in new business for a marketing communications Agency, but we are open to hearing from anyone who understands what it takes to be an excellent new business manager and drive growth

As a new business manager, you'll need to work with the senior team at the Agency to deliver the following:

  • Research and identify new business opportunities that match the Agency target plan and sectors

  • Generate leads via electronic, face to face and phone communication

  • Build and maintain a database of target Client contacts, able to segment for specific targeting and create broadcast emails and content on HubSpot including taking the lead on developing this CRM platform, developing compelling content with input from the business, tracking so as report on measurement and responses

  • Writing tender documents such as RFPs and RFIs, including evolving and owning the key Agency credentials content (slides, films, case studies) so they can be easily put together in order to respond to the often tight deadlines

  • Work alongside the profile team on lead generation activities (B2B conference, Food & Drink report etc)

  • Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation to understand whom are the decision makers and provide summary information on the opportunities

  • Support the senior team / Agency board on pitches, including coordinating bespoke teams of specialists to deliver the pitch, preparing all documentation and assisting on presentations

  • Input on the overall business development strategy, update the Board on sector trends and opportunities

You’ll have experience operating in an Agency or similar environment and will therefore be adept at directing and coordinating multiple activities at a time in order to deliver against the Agency growth plans and objectives.

We’re looking for someone who is a self-starter, able to take on instructions and sets of deliverables, develop them and check in regularly to ensure all is progressing well. You will be working amongst a busy Agency team, understanding quickly and identifying the resources and specialist skills required to deliver the high-quality work on an ongoing basis with a meticulous eye for detail. You will need to be proactive and creative with ideas on how to generate leads and deliver content to the targets.
