Bray Leino and Bloggers unite

We had the opportunity to share some of our experience, and pick up a few interesting tips, when our PR team headed over to the Blog Summit at M Shed (http://mshed.org/) to meet 60 parenting and lifestyle bloggers.

There was lively discussion around photography, SEO and link building, hearing about spiders, bots and penguins crawling all over Google. There was a greatfrom a couple of awe-inspiring bloggers who’d pitched an idea to Comic Relief and were asked to go to Ghana the next day.

We’ll always provide all the support we can for anyone with the enthusiasm and drive in a subject to start and maintain their own blog, so it was great to get involved.

Our top tips for bloggers who want to work with PR were;

  • Tell us about yourself – if you like biscuits put it in your blog ‘About Me’ section… you’ll be amazed what happens!
  • Talk to us – we love great ideas. If you have one, pitch it to us
  • We aren’t that interested in follow links – what we really want is your opinion written in your words, in the context of your life
  • We will look at your vital statistics but of more importance to us is your social reach, whether your blog looks good and if you write well

Life is sweet

We’re rather proud of our work for the nice folk at LanesHealth and their wonderful Jakemans brand (not least because their marvellously menthol confections are jolly delicious).

So when they asked us to take the fabulous Jakemans heritage and bring it to life for the first time ever on TV, we decided to make a bit of a song and dance about it. more
