Virgin Media hires Bray Leino

28 July 2009

Virgin Media, the UK's leading entertainment and communications company, has appointed Bray Leino to handle its nationwide regional media relations account after a four way pitch earlier this month.

Bray Leino has been appointed to run a strategic and creative communications programme across the regions to promote the Virgin Media brand as well as its high-speed fibre optic broadband, TV on Demand and mobile services. The account also includes supporting new store openings.

Roberta Fuke, Managing Director at Bray Leino, says: "Virgin Media is an iconic brand that is loved by UK consumers. In a typically aggressive marketplace the brand continues to do things differently, provide desirable innovative products, and speak to consumers in their own language.

"It was important that we demonstrated an implicit understanding of the audience and the Virgin Media brand and translated their personality into a creative three-dimensional PR campaign that will resonate regionally and that will always motivate and inspire."

Michelle Gordon, Head of Corporate and Consumer PR at Virgin Media, added: "We're extremely pleased to have Bray Leino join our team. We were impressed with their understanding of our brand and they really got how we are redefining the broadband and TV markets."
