Thatchers Television Debut
10 May 2010
For the first time in the company’s 106 year history, Thatchers TV commercial went on air on Monday 10th of May 2010, on ITV1 West and ITV1 Central South.
The 30 second commercial for Thatchers Gold, which has been created by Bray Leino using entirely computer generated animation, celebrates the heritage and care that Thatchers brings to its ciders. The evocative film invites you into the Thatchers world to get a taste of the quiet passion the family firm puts into its cider making. It’s real heritage in a bottle.
The ad, called ‘People Who Care About Cider’, has been created to evoke the special care and attention to detail that goes into making every drop of Thatchers Gold.
Managing director Martin Thatcher commented: "Bray Leino’s development of our first commercial has truly captured the essence of what we are as a company. The quality of the animation will bring viewers directly into our Somerset orchards. We are immensely proud to be a family-run company. Dating back to my great grandfather, my family has been crafting ciders for more than 100 years. Using fine apples from our own orchards, the expertise we put into our ciders has taken over a century to acquire. So through this campaign we are looking to focus on the values that make Thatchers unique – family, heritage care and expertise."
