Sky's The Limit - Valentine's Success

The retail calendar dictates much of what people will spend throughout the year - and we saw the start of 2009 as crucial for clients in the shopping centre industry. Negative talk of falling footfall, dwindling dwell time and shrinking spend sparked our team to look at opportunities for great promotions for our clients.

Long before Santa's arrival we were in discussions with promotional partners to look at a Valentine's promotion that would give great value to the end shopper, longevity of activity - and real delivery for each Centre through data-capture and enhanced footfall.

We teamed up with Sky - and gave shoppers at several centres the chance to win the ultimate Sky package for 12 months from Valentine's Day with a 'Cosy Nights In' promotion. It ran in-centre from the first week of January until Valentine's Day with bespoke POS materials and was backed by PR and online support.

The result? Fantastic - great response with thousands of entries - and all data being added to each centres' own e-database for ongoing viral marketing initiatives.
