Child's Play - Kids' Clubs Pave The Way
The power of 'family shopping' can not be underestimated and we are aware (from research) that a 'family decision' outweighs all others. Over the last three years, we have worked with numerous shopping destinations to launch Kids' Clubs - promoting family-friendly events and activities - with the conscious goal of developing an e-database of parents and guardians for the client's improved promotion.
The clubs encourage families to sign up in each centre's catchment, are free for children aged 3-10 and each member gets a centre-branded welcome pack and access to exclusive online information and offers. Danny Gunton of Bray Leino Destination says: "The clubs are a great way of not only communicating with families but also engaging children in activities." Danny adds: "Data-capture and management is an increasingly important aspect of work with our clients, ensuring easier communication and, by running viral initiatives, reducing the traditional reliance on print and post."
Paul Jackson, Commercial Manager at Castle Quay Shopping Centre in Banbury, Oxfordshire, has been delighted with the Club's launch, saying: "More than 250 children signed up in the first 3 months - and we will be using the Club as a mainstay of the Centre's promotion during the coming year." Paul adds: "The Club's major benefit is that we can get in touch with hundreds of families very easily, enabling the Centre and our retailers to send out news on events and offers at the click of a button."
